Pop sensation John Newman to perform live at MI London’s opening match of The Hundred 2026.
Newman, who has featured in three official UK number-one singles, will perform some of his greatest hits at the iconic Kia Oval when MI London host Sunrisers Leeds on Tuesday 21 July.
The popular soul singer rose to fame featuring on the 2012 Rudimental hit “Feel The Love”. A year later, his breakout solo single “Love Me Again” reached the top of the charts. In 2014, he featured on Calvin Harris’ number one single “Blame”.
His debut album Tribute also reached number one in the UK Albums Chart in 2013.
Newman is another name on the list of household recording artists that have performed live at The Hundred after the likes of Perrie Edwards, Cat Burns and Zara Larsson.
Tickets are selling fast for MI London’s four home matches at the Kia Oval. The competition kicks off with the fixture against Sunrisers Leeds which Newman will perform at on Tuesday 21 July. MI London will also welcome cross-city rivals London Spirit (Wednesday 29 July), as well as Manchester Super Giants (Sunday 2 August) and Trent Rockets (Saturday 8 July) to the Kia Oval.
MI London, formerly the Oval Invincibles, is the most successful team in The Hundred. The women’s team won the first two titles in 2021 and 2022, and the men’s team won three in a row from 2023 to 2025. The team plays its home matches at the iconic Kia Oval in London. The Hundred is a 100-ball format that has brought cricket to new audiences and drawn some of the game’s biggest names to UK crowds each summer.
